Southern Branch Meeting & NP Workshop

Wed, Jul. 5, 2017 10:00am — 2:30pm

Add this to Calendar

Southern Branch’s’ next event will be Wednesday 5th July at Invercargill City Council.

The day will run approximately 10am-2.30pm and lunch will be provided.

An approximate timeframe/plan for the day is as follows:

10am – 11am – Branch Meeting

11am – 12.30pm – National Programme workshop (modelled on a chocolate manufacturer as an example of the NP verification process).

12.30pm – 1.15pm – Lunch (Provided)

1.30pm – 2.30pm – Site tour of The Seriously Good Chocolate Company, Spey Street Invercargill (meet onsite)

There is no cost for this event for members, but there will be free chocolate!

Not all our members are ‘food focused’ however this day would still be suitable for anyone who isn’t a food verifier/EHO currently but has a general interest in chocolate, so please consider this if you’re a ‘non-food’ member – everyone is welcome.

Our last event for 2017 (Approx Oct/Nov) is likely to be a non-food focused event – to be discussed during the Branch meeting in July.

I am calling now for confirmation of attendance and also any items to be added to our general branch meeting agenda for this day.

We will be discussing the 2019 NZIEH National conference which our Branch will be hosting in 2019 at this meeting and looking to form/elect a conference committee.

Have a think now if you’d like to be involved with the conference in 2019 and considered for the committee.

Can you please email me attendee lists by Friday 9th June 5pm (One email per Council/Company please if possible).

A confirmed agenda and more information about the National Programme workshop and Chocolate factory tour will be circulated Late June.

Any questions, please let me know.

Cheers,

 Tanya
