Gisborne, Tairāwhiti | Full-time, Permanent (40 hours)
Salary: $76,087– $89,514 (depending on skills and experience)

As our Environmental Health Officer, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding the wellbeing of our communities through Environmental Health safety mahi that is trusted, consistent, and culturally informed.


Mō te tūranga | About the position  

Working within our Public Protection team, this role is part of our Environmental Health service, which focuses on keeping Tairāwhiti safe, clean, and thriving. You will serve as a trusted advisor, officer, and educator—supporting registered operators to meet health standards while ensuring compliance with the Health Act 1956, Food Act 2014, Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, Resource Management Act 1991, and relevant council bylaws, all with clarity and care.
